Stoke City are keeping tabs on Rangers midfielder Kieran Dowell, as per a fresh update from reporter Fraser Fletcher.
Stoke City find themselves in another battle at the bottom having finished 16th and 17th in their two previous Championship campaigns. SCFC have won just one of their last 12, though are unbeaten in three as they approach the midway point of the January transfer window.
Having recently appointed Mark Robins, they have beaten Sunderland both in the league and in the FA Cup, which should give Potters fans faith that they can avoid a return to League One for the first time since 2002.
Having done no business of note so far, aside from recalling Lewis Baker from Blackburn Rovers, Stoke City are said to be eyeing a move for Rangers midfielder Kieran Dowell.
That’s according to reporter Fraser Fletcher, who issues the update on X. He states Dowell is on the lookout for a new club after moving to Ibrox in 2023.

The 27-year-old Liverpudlian has predominantly featured off the bench so far this season, though is yet to provide a goal contribution.
Though perhaps not contributing effectively at Rangers, Dowell’s certainly a proven Championship player, having spent plenty of time in the division over the years.
The Stoke City target also gained Premier League experience whilst at Norwich City, featuring regularly in the Canaries squad which was ultimately relegated from England’s top flight. He is yet to complete a full game in the SPFL so far this season.
