The Kentucky Wildcats are set to face the top-ranked Auburn Tigers today at Rupp Arena. Unfortunately, they will be without starting guard Jaxson Robinson, who has been ruled out due to a right wrist injury. Robinson, the team’s second-leading scorer averaging 13.0 points per game, attempted a return in Wednesday’s game against Oklahoma but experienced a setback.
On a positive note, point guard Lamont Butler, who had been sidelined with a shoulder injury, made his return against Oklahoma, contributing seven points, four rebounds, and six assists in 20 minutes. His availability against Auburn should bolster Kentucky’s backcourt.
Auburn enters the game with a 26-2 record, including a 14-1 mark in SEC play. Despite their impressive season, the Tigers have not won at Rupp Arena since 1988. Kentucky aims to maintain this home-court advantage and improve their NCAA Tournament seeding with a strong performance today.
The game is scheduled to tip off at 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on
ESPN.
