A successful weekend for Grenke – Auto Eder: Noah Lindholm Møller Andersen secured his first victory of the season at the prestigious Giro di Primavera, delivering a strong performance.
With a tactically smart and aggressive ride, Noah Lindholm Møller Andersen claimed his first victory of the season at the Giro di Primavera (UCI J-1.1). On the demanding 129-kilometre route around San Vendemiano, the young Danish rider maintained a clear understanding of the race dynamics, made the crucial move in the final stages, and capped off a successful weekend for Grenke – Auto Eder.
“I timed the sprint perfectly in the final meters – it was a great race for both me and the whole team.”
“The race was really hectic at the start,” Møller Andersen said after his victory. “Two laps before the end, I caught up with a rider from Bahrain at the front, and one lap later, we managed to break away together. I timed my sprint perfectly in the final meters – it was a great race for both me and the whole team.”
The 18-year-old had already shown strong form the day before, finishing fourth in the Italian classic Trofeo Emozione. His Dutch teammate, Gijs Schoonvelde, also delivered an impressive performance, securing third place on the podium. Additionally, Karl Herzog (14th) and Michiel Mouris (15th) both finished in the top 15, further contributing to a strong showing for grenke – Auto Eder.
Noah took control of the race, launched his attack at the perfect moment, and executed our strategy flawlessly.
“After we raced very actively and aggressively yesterday but came up just short, it was clear today: we were aiming for the win,” said Sports Director Gregor Gazvoda. “Noah took control, attacked at the perfect moment, and executed our strategy perfectly. I’m really pleased he was able to reward himself – and I’m also thrilled with Gijs’ strong third place. Overall, we had a fantastic weekend as a team.”
The Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe U19 team will continue their journey on May 3 and 4 at the Grand Prix West Bohemia in the Czech Republic.
