Champions League Matchday 6 continued on Wednesday with a full slate of fixtures that brought goals, draws and pivotal results shaping group standings as teams edge closer to the knockout phase.


Wednesday’s Matchday Results

Real Madrid 1–2 Manchester City

In one of the night’s standout fixtures at the Santiago Bernabéu, Real Madrid took an early lead through Rodrygo, but Manchester City responded before halftime. Nico O’Reilly levelled matters, and Erling Haaland converted a penalty to complete City’s turnaround. The victory for City dealt a blow to Madrid’s hopes of securing top spots in the group, while boosting City’s position significantly.

Club Brugge 0–3 Arsenal

Arsenal continued their imperious form in Europe with a commanding win away in Belgium. A confident performance saw the visitors score three goals without reply, extending their perfect record in the group phase and cementing their place at the top of the table.

Benfica 2–0 Napoli

Benfica delivered a strong home display to see off Napoli. Early dominance was rewarded, and the Portuguese side controlled much of the match to ensure all three points. This result lifts Benfica’s hopes for progression, while Napoli’s campaign suffered a setback.

Juventus 2–0 Pafos

Juventus produced a solid performance to secure a clean win. Two well-finished goals gave them a comfortable victory and valuable points in their group, keeping their campaign on track as the league phase nears its conclusion.

Villarreal 2–3 Copenhagen

In a thrilling Spanish clash, Copenhagen edged Villarreal in a five-goal contest. The visitors found the net three times to claim a narrow away victory, while Villarreal’s goals came in an entertaining and open encounter between the sides.

Qarabag 2–4 Ajax

Ajax delivered an attacking showcase on the road, scoring four goals in their Group game. Qarabag fought hard, but Ajax’s firepower proved decisive as they ran out comfortable winners in this high-scoring match.

Borussia Dortmund 2–2 Bodo/Glimt

Athletic Bilbao 0–0 Paris Saint-Germain
