Despite huge second half performances from Tyrese Maxey and Paul George, which helped pull the Sixers back from 16 points down to force overtime, the Sixers fell to the New York Knicks 125-119 in overtime. The loss, Philadelphia’s 4th in a row, drops the Sixers to 15-24 on the season.
Tyrese Maxey had an incredible second half, scoring 27 points after intermission, including the game-tying bucket with two seconds left in regulation to force OT. Maxey finished the night with 33 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the loss. Paul George added 26 points and 6 assists. For the Knicks, Jalen Brunson led all scorers with 38 points, and Josh Hart added 10 points, 16 rebounds and 12 assists for the triple double.

With no Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, Paul George and Caleb Martin, the shorthanded Philadelphia 76ers (15-23) battled until the final whistle against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams and the Oklahoma City Thunder (33-6), ultimately falling 118-102. Two-way rookie Justin Edwards led the undermanned Sixers with a career-high 25 points, connecting on four of his nine tries from beyond. Down by as many as 21 points, the 76ers cut it four early in the fourth, but OKC turned it up to pull away.
