Five-star wing Agot Makeer has committed to South Carolina women’s basketball and coach Dawn Staley. ESPN ranks him as the fourth overall recruit in the class of 2025. Makeer disclosed on social media on Saturday that she chose the Gamecocks over Michigan State and UConn. After considering Duke, Kentucky, and North Carolina, she finally reduced her list to the three universities.
Originally from Ontario, Canada, Makeer, who stands 6 feet 1 inch tall, plays for Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida.
